Since students left campus at the conclusion of the 2024-2025 academic year, Anderson University welcomed a record 44 different groups and organizations to campus, including the 30th anniversary of Crossroads Summer Camp. All told, more than 20,000 people visited AU from May through August.
“Anderson University doesn’t just practice Great Hospitality when our students are here from August to May. It’s a commitment we make to everyone who steps foot on our campus—12 months of the year,” said Anderson University Senior Vice President for Administration, Brand and Strategic Planning Dr. Omar Rashed.
“This past summer was a banner season for AU, not only because we welcomed longstanding partners like Clayton King and Crossroads Summer Camp and Palmetto Boys State, but also because we had the honor of introducing new friends to the AU experience. We’re so thankful they chose to spend time with us, and we’re grateful for the hard work and dedication of our Guest Services team for rolling out the red carpet for each and every person who visited campus this summer.”
Summer 2025 was a banner season, including:
- 22,379 overall summer campus guests
- 2,100 Trojan Athletic Camp participants
- 1,251 citizens, counselors and staff at Palmetto Boys State
In addition, AU held nine Summer Institute programs, which represents a 67% increase in prospective student participation. The AU Summer Institute included nine academic summer camps for students interested in engineering, dance, theatre, pre-medicine, art and design, choral and instrumental programs.
Admission tours and new student orientation sessions were up 31% and AU facility rentals by external guests were up 21%.
The events on campus last summer included a theology conference, dance recitals and longstanding partnership events like the AnMed and MUSC PreMed Camp.
