South Carolina State Trooper Jesse Cannon is among those receiving a degree as Anderson University conducts commencement exercises on Friday, Dec. 13, 2019.
Cannon, a five-year veteran of the South Carolina State Police, passed away in June. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Cannon was pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Anderson University College of Business and will be awarded his degree posthumously. He is among the 159 students expected to receive a bachelor’s degree during winter commencement. In addition, five doctoral and 124 master’s candidates are expected to graduate during two ceremonies.
The undergraduate ceremony begins at 10 a.m., and the graduate ceremony begins at 3 p.m. Both will take place at Henderson Auditorium on the campus of Anderson University.
