Health Professions Dean Elected Regent for American College of Healthcare Executives

The dean of the Anderson University College of Health Professions has been named to the Council of Regents of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Dr. Donald Peace, dean of the Anderson University College of Health Professions has been appointed to the Council of Regents, the legislative body of the American College of Healthcare Executives. The Council of Regents serves as the vital link between ACHE and members by approving governance and membership regulations as well as promoting ACHE programs, services and activities within their respective areas.

 

CHICAGO – Dr. Donald Peace, dean of the Anderson University College of Health Professions has been appointed to the Council of Regents, the legislative body of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

The Council of Regents serves as the vital link between ACHE and members by approving governance and membership regulations as well as promoting ACHE programs, services and activities within their respective areas.

Dr. Peace will take office at the Council of Regents meeting March 21, 2020, during ACHE’s 63rd Congress on Healthcare Leadership at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. As a Regent, Peace will represent ACHE’s membership in South Carolina. 

Dr. Peace has served as dean at Anderson University since 2016. Prior to this position, he was the regional director with South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC), serving the Upstate of South Carolina. Prior to his service at SCDHEC, Dr. Peace served in hospitals in Georgia and South Carolina in both clinical and management areas.

Dr. Peace has served on the board of directors with the South Carolina Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives since 2012. He led that board as President from 2016-2018.  He served on a variety of committees with that organization on a state and national level. He is a board member with Anderson United Way and serves on an Advisory Board with Hospice of the Upstate. 

Dr. Peace is a fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives and certified in healthcare management. 

Dr. Peace received his master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Central Michigan University and his Ph.D. in Healthcare Administration from Capella University. He also holds degrees in respiratory therapy.
