The National Association of Teachers of Singing National Student Auditions (NSA) Semi-Finalists were recently announced. Four South Carolina School of the Arts students qualified for the NSA through their success at state and regional NATS auditions and all four were selected to sing in the Semi-Finals to be held at The University of Colorado July 20-22. Only 14 students nationwide were selected for each category.
Congratulations to the following students for being selected: Cory Simmons, Lower College Musical Theater Men; Mariel Zmarzly, Lower College Musical Theater Women; Katie Soto, Upper College Musical Theater Women; Andrew Poston, Upper College Musical Theater, Men. Simmons is a student of Dr. Tommy Watson, and Zmarzly, Soto, and Poston are students of Deedy Francis.
