Dean Anne MartinOut of all the advisors serving the more than 300 student chapters of the American Society of Interior Designers, the group named the dean of Anderson University’s School of Interior Design as the national faculty advisor of the year. Dean Anne Martin was honored at the national ASID conference in Los Angeles in 2013.

Student chapters of ASID from across the country nominated their faculty advisors for recognition. In 2012, Martin was also honored with an honorable mention in the same category.

Elisabeth Lyons, the 2013 president of the student chapter of ASID for Anderson University, says Martin’s students were delighted that she received the recognition for her longtime record of excellence in teaching and mentoring students.

“As the president of our student chapter of ASID, I have had the privilege of working closely alongside Ms. Martin over the past year,” says Lyons. “Her guidance and leadership has been instrumental in the growth of our chapter and of each of us personally. It is such an honor for our chapter of ASID to have this national recognition, and we are pleased that our student nomination of Ms. Martin has played a part in her receiving this award.”

Dean Martin’s leadership creates career-changing opportunities for our interior design majors. Our nationally recognized students and alumni are proof of the exceptional preparation interior design students receive at Anderson University. For more information, fill out the form below.
