The extremely popular spring ceramic sale at Anderson University makes its return April 23 and 24. Anderson University art students are giving the public a chance to purchase original bowls, mugs, plates and sculptures Friday and Saturday from 10am – 5pm in the front of the Thrift Library.
Portions of the proceeds from the sale will go to benefit the AU Art Education Club’s efforts to raise money for charitable initiatives, and the Ceramics Club’s efforts bring new equipment into the program and defray education related travel cost for students.
“Our students enjoy sharing their work with the community,” says AU Art Professor Nathan Cox. “There’s no better gift for the ‘person who has everything’ than original, one-of-a-kind artwork.”
While the popular sale inevitably draws crowds of “early birds” looking for the best pieces, new works will be added throughout each day guaranteeing a good selection up until 5pm.
