Anderson University announced the expanded partnership with online bookstore and collegiate retail solutions company eCampus.com to help transition to a new class material delivery program beginning fall 2023. The program will provide all undergraduate students with first-day access to all required course text materials, included in the cost of tuition, reducing the cost of attendance while improving access to course materials.
This innovative program is part of Anderson’s ongoing commitment to reduce the financial barriers that many students face when purchasing course text materials. eCampus.com has provided a successful online bookstore program for the University since 2018. In an effort to bolster continuous improvement, Anderson worked with eCampus.com to evaluate future-proof solutions that meet the needs of all students. The Day 1 access model, branded the Trojan Textbook Program by the University, proved the convenient, cost-effective, and innovative next step for the University’s comprehensive course materials program.
Through eCampus.com’s technology platforms, students will automatically receive all required course text materials, including textbooks and digital content, according to their class schedules, on or before the first day of class. Textbooks are delivered directly to campus for convenient pickup at AU Outfitters, Anderson’s campus store, also operated by eCampus.com. Digital content is automatically delivered through Canvas, the institution’s learning management system, or eCampus.com’s personalized digital bookshelf.
In addition to addressing the rising costs of education, the new Trojan Textbook Program also supports student success and retention by ensuring students have the learning tools they need from day one. As an all-inclusive course materials model, faculty are encouraged to seek out best-fit content while also considering low-cost options. The adoption process is enhanced through improved software that provides visibility into pricing as well as OER content to ensure informed academic decisions.
“As a valued partner since 2018, we are excited to help Anderson University navigate their Trojan Textbook Program to level the academic playing field through first day success for all students,” said Matt Montgomery, President and CEO of eCampus.com. “We applaud Anderson University as they continuously seek ways to offer innovative, convenient and cost-effective solutions to combat the rising costs of higher education.”
“Reducing the financial burden on our students is one of Anderson University’s strategic initiatives. One specific area we’ve targeted is making textbooks more affordable, and we’ve made enormous strides over the last several years,” said Anderson University Provost Dr. Ryan Neal. “Our latest partnership with eCampus.com is a logical next step because not only does it help save our students money, but it also increases their opportunity for academic success by providing textbooks from day one in each course.”
