Fast Facts

I came to AU with the goal of helping students to become the people they want to be—not just teaching content, but mentoring whole persons in their intellectual, professional, and spiritual development. There’s no greater professional reward than seeing my students succeed beyond the classroom.

I’ve been recognized for excellence in teaching through the SCICU Excellence in Teaching Award (2018) and Clemson University’s Thomas E. Douglass Teaching Award (2016). My scholarly contributions span rhetoric, composition, and interdisciplinary studies, with presentations at major conferences including CCCC, Computers and Writing, and the Association for Interdisciplinary Studies. As a PASCAL Professor for Affordable Learning, I’ve championed accessible educational resources while developing innovative approaches to multimodal composition.

What I find most enjoyable about teaching at Anderson University is the opportunity to work with both remarkable students and dedicated faculty colleagues.
