Fast Facts

My classes provide an engaging learning experience through a combination of lectures and discussions, ample interaction, group activities, and emphasis on teaching through analysis of primary sources. I want to help students understand how studying the past shapes both the present and the future.

Anderson University is a special place that affords me the opportunity to teach students, share historical knowledge, and impart biblical faith while inspiring students to develop a love for history.

History is never boring because it’s HIS-story! Studying American history is like waking up every day and embarking on a new, exciting adventure. Just when you think it’s old and outdated, it shows up again in the latest news headlines!

Anderson County American Revolution 250th Committee

I love when students stop by my office just to talk about history. I appreciate that the faculty and staff are supportive, and that the students genuinely want to learn more, grow in their faith, and be challenged in their studies. I am grateful to have a small part to play in their college experience.
