Academic Background

This is my 56th year as an educator. In 2006, I retired from Southern Wesleyan University, where I had served as a tenured Professor of both English and Education. I directed the English Education program for 26 years and also served as Division Chair for Modern Languages for 12 years. I have also taught for over 20 years in public schools, many concurrent with teaching in higher education. In addition to teaching at AU, I still teach graduate education courses at SWU, where I hold the position of Professor Emerita.
