Fast Facts

In my music theory course, you can expect a collaborative environment focused on the skills necessary for a successful career in the field of music. Expect lots of singing, rhythm chanting, and class discussions about how to apply general theoretical practices. Together we will uncover the WHY of music theory.

Teaching at AU offers the unique opportunity to share my faith with my students. Although music theory rarely overlaps with broader theological discussions, knowing that I am encouraged to share my journey with students has always made AU very special.

Do not think of music as an easy path. If you’ve been called to it, give it 100% of your focus. Only through intense discipline and focus will you find joy in you calling as a musician.

Seeing the program continue to grow with passionate students, and providing a path forward for students to excel in their career and calling in music.
