Fast Facts
I greatly appreciate the ability to integrate my faith beliefs into the teaching environment. I feel this enhances the process of learning in a unique way that cannot be found while teaching with other institutions. I have found a place that allows me to be fully who I am as a believer of God, using the talents He gave me to hopefully enrich the lives of others.
I feel nursing is a true calling and is a wonderful way in which to serve humanity while sharing God’s abundant love with others. It is a diverse career field. One that can have more than one pathway and one that provides a variety of specialty, even within the span of a 29 year career, from public health, to oncology, home health, pediatrics, emergency care, and back to public health, to name only a few! It is possible to have two or even three calls to serve and to do more than one thing at a time if you enjoy dance AND nursing, do both!
Ordained as a SC Faith Community Nurse; Nationally Registered Dance/Movement Therapist; Published an article jointly with Dean of the School of Nursing and another nursing faculty colleague in the SC Nurse regarding the positive outcomes when including the ACES Training into undergraduate nursing curriculum; Selected to present these findings at the SC Public Health Association Annual Conference in 2024
I appreciate the uplifted culture and sensitivity to living a fully Christian lifestyle openly while teaching and learning together.
