Academic Background

Greg received the 2005 Star Award, the 2006 President’s award and the SGA Second Mile Award for dedicated service in 2003, 2005 and 2008.

He enjoys the “invigorating” pace of the academic calendar and the family atmosphere at AU. “We have the opportunity to build relationships and care for one another in a wonderful Christian community.”

Greg wishes prospective students knew Christian Studies challenges them to learn more about “the amazing Creator of the universe. They can see His influence throughout history and creation, but they can also see His presence in their personal lives. Careers in this discipline are not only available in local churches, but also in the counseling, law, education, medical, international and social fields.”

Teaching at AU

What year did you start teacing at AU?

1996

How would you describe your classes to someone who has never attended one?

My classes are very discussion oriented. Students are encouraged to engage the Bible as it relates to everyday life. My goal is help students open the Bible, learn to study it, and apply its truth to our individual situations and larger cultural experiences.

Fast Facts

I have a passion for working with college students and watching them grow in their faith and commitment to Jesus Christ. Prior to joining the faculty as a full-time instructor, I served as director of campus ministries at AU for 14 years. Working with students at a Christian university gives me the opportunity to build personal relationships, impact them with the Gospel, disciple and mentor them as they mature, and watch them fulfill a calling to influence the world for Christ.
