Fast Facts

Trumpet lessons are tailored to the needs of each individual student. Every student is in a different place in their playing and my goal is to meet them where they are and help them develop their technical abilities, musicianship, and confidence so they can achieve their goals.

My music theory courses blend traditional music theory with the necessary knowledge for today’s music industry.

Anderson University offers students an opportunity to grow not only as musicians, but in their faith as well. The campus is beautiful, the faculty is accomplished, and the students are an incredible group of people.

The arts offer a wide variety of career options and there are professional opportunities available to those who are willing to do the necessary work. When I go to work as a professional trumpet player, I bring music to life for an audience, where every person in that hall is having a shared experience, regardless of their walk in life. That is part of the power of music, to impact those who hear it. When I go to work as an educator, I can inspire future musicians to pass along the same spark and love for music that has fueled my life.

– Anderson University’s 2020-2021 Teaching Excellence Award Recipient, Part-Time Faculty
– 5 years of experience with International touring musicals
– I have performed in 45 of the 50 states, including renown venues like the Theater at Madison Square Garden and the Chicago Theatre.
– I continue to perform for musicals and other commercial productions as a top call musician for the Peace Center in Greenville, SC and at Flat Rock Playhouse, the state theatre of North Carolina.
– Performed with artists like Frankie Valli, Dianne Reeves, Little Anthony and the Imperials, The Contours, Jens Lindemann, John Fedchock, Jiggs Whigham, Roland Vasquez, Jim Riggs, Vaughan Wiester’s Famous Jazz Orchestra, Lisa Sherman, Frankie Previte, Bobby Caldwell, Mannheim Steamroller, Celtic Woman, and Las Vegas tribute artists Donny Edwards (Elvis Presley) and Sharon Owens (Barbra Streisand)

Every day I come to work, I look forward to seeing and coaching my students. I have the pleasure of being able to not only invest in the next generation of musicians, but to teach the whole person and try to bring out the best version of that student. I want to help equip each student to be able to succeed in any and every endeavor they undertake.

Musicals, Orchestra, Commercial Music, Studio Recording, Brass Quintet, Trumpet Ensemble, and Jazz Big Band.
