Academic Background
Designer of stage environments for over 25 years. Andrew is Associate Professor of Theatre, Scenic Designer at the South Carolina School of the Arts Anderson University. He also served at Gardner-Webb University, Susquehanna University, and has worked professionally at theatres across the country.

Fast Facts
My classes are largely skill based classes where students build the fundamentals of scenic design and learn emerging technologies in theatre. I use immersive learning techniques so students can create designs or engineer set pieces so students leave with a portfolio of design work to enter either the workforce or continue study in graduate school.
I love seeing the excitement and pride when a young designer sees his/her scenic design realized for the first time. Our small class sizes and one on one coaching provide an environment for young theatre artists to grow.
