The MM M.Ed. at AU is a step above other programs because of the commitment of faculty to helping our students be successful in achieving program outcomes and personal goals. You can choose projects and topics within your courses that address your own professional development goals. The faculty provide exceptional support to each student while setting high standards for student achievement. You will gain invaluable insights from discussions and interactions with your peers located throughout the United States and in international locations. 

All courses except performance ensembles are offered online, with the option of taking applied lessons on Anderson University’s main campus.

Career Outlook

You will develop advanced proficiencies to teach music in PreK-12 settings or at select collegiate and higher education institutions. Most states provide a substantial increase in pay upon completion of the master’s degree, providing a benefit for the remainder of your career. You can also pursue a doctorate degree, such as a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA), Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), or Doctor of Education (Ed.D.). Our graduates report that they feel prepared to enter their respective doctoral programs because they completed the MM M.Ed. program at AU.
