Base Camp Orientation

Your successful journey starts at Base Camp

Before a mountain climber begins his or her ascent to the summit of Mount Everest, they make a crucial first stop – Base Camp. At this first camp, they acclimate to the mountain conditions and altitude, check their supplies, and finalize mental preparations for the challenges ahead. A successful climb always begins with this first stop.

While your time at Anderson is different than climbing Mount Everest, the journey through college and climbing a mountain have many similarities. Just as acclimating to conditions and finalizing preparations are important in a mountaineering expedition, you will find that these steps are essential for your successful journey at Anderson University.

Base Camp Orientation is a one-day program created to serve as your first stop on your Journey as an AU student. Base Camp will be a mix of information from academics to campus and social life.

You will quickly find that your successful journey is often the result of much hard work and the support of a great network of family and friends. For this reason, we invite parents to join you at Base Camp where they will have the opportunity to ask questions and hear about the many services offered at AU.
