About Us

Anderson University is honored to welcome our International Graduate School students to campus for their Intensive sessions. These events offer an immersive learning experience with faculty, networking opportunities, and hands-on engagement in your program. This page is your central hub for all Intensive details, including accommodations, transportation, dining, schedules, and FAQs.

Student Center 
Social Hub: Enjoy all the amenities of your Student Center! From comfortable areas to sit and relax, to gathering around a table for conversation with new classmates, or diving into a competitive ping pong match, there’s something for everyone. TVs are also available to catch up on your favorite sports and events.

AU Outfitters: No trip to AU is complete without a stop at AU Outfitters for fresh gear! Wear your school colors with pride and grab everything from t-shirts and hoodies to mugs, hats, and more! 

Thrift Library
Study Spaces: Thrift Library offers a wide variety of tables, chairs, and comfortable seating for reading, studying, and collaborating. This two-story library is open during regular hours of operation and does not require reservations — seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Collaboration Rooms: Thrift Library also offers a collection of private conference rooms available by reservation. Please visit the Book a Study Room page and follow the reservation instructions to claim your space.

Important Expectations & Things to Note

To ensure a professional and productive learning environment, students attending the Intensive sessions are expected to adhere to the following guidelines:

Come Prepared

  • Bring your fully charged laptop & mobile phone – outlets may be limited.
  • Have your AU student ID with you at all times for campus access. Your AU student ID will give you access to three buildings on campus. Please keep your ID with you at all times.
  • Pack essential materials such as pens, pencils, notebooks, and additional study supplies.
  • Download the iAttended App to record your attendance.

Professional Classroom Conduct

  • Active participation is encouraged, but be respectful – do not talk while others speak.
  • Engage fully in each session

Attendance & Punctuality

  • Attendance at every session is mandatory – missing a session without prior approval is prohibited.
  • Arriving on time and staying for the entire session is required

Transportation

To assist students traveling to Anderson, AU is offering a shuttle service (Trojan Transit) for those flying into the local airport Greenville-Spartanburg Airport (GSP) as well as on-campus free parking

Anderson University is pleased to offer a shuttle service between Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) and the Anderson University campus for students attending on-campus intensives.

Advanced Reservation Required: Students must request transportation at least 5 days in advance, as seating is limited.

Arrival Shuttle: Departs GSP Airport at 11:30 AM on Day 1 of your intensive.

Return Shuttle: Departs campus at 12:00 PM (noon) on Day 3 of your intensive.

Travel Time: Approximately 45 minutes each way.

Cost: $40 round trip – non-refundable

Shuttle Pick-Up: 10 AM on the first day of intensive

Shuttle Drop-Off:  Departs at  12 noon on Day 3

Reserve Your Spot:  To reserve a seat, click here and select an “Airport Shuttle.”
Reservations must be made at least 5 days in advance.

Uber/Lyft: Rideshare services are readily available in Anderson and Greenville. 
Rental Cars: Recommended for flexibility. Rental agencies are available at GSP Airport.

Free parking is available in the Vandiver Parking Lot, which is located between Vandiver Hall and Sullivan Hall (buildings 10 and 11 on the maps.)

    important to note: Larger Airport with more international flights.

    important to note: Alternative major airport.
  • Asheville Airport (AVL): 1.5 hr drive,
    important to note: Smaller airport option.
Dining Options
Frequently Asked Questions

On your Workday account, click on Menu at the top left. Scroll down to “Student”, and click on “Academic and Registration Information”. Locate your courses for this semester, and find what course is listed as Hybrid. Your Hybrid Course is your Intensive Course. 

Please follow the instructions below to submit your photo to ensure you have your Anderson University Student ID ready during your intensive event.

Steps to Submit Your Photo: 

  • Submit a color photo, taken within the last 6 months, to: andersoncentral@andersonuniversity.edu 
  • The photo should be a clear image of your face (no filters). 
  • Please have someone else take your photo — no selfies. 
  • Use a plain white or off-white background, such as a wall. 
  • Face the camera directly. 
    Submit your photo in .jpg format. 

Include the following information when submitting: 

  1. Your full name 
  2. Your student ID number 
  3. Your degree of study (e.g., MS Computer Science, MS Business Analytics)  must be sent from your Anderson University email
  4. The request must be sent from your Anderson University email account.

Submit My Photo Deadline:

Please submit your photo at least 1 week before your first day of the intensive. Your Student ID will be ready for distribution when you arrive on campus on Day 1.
