AU Abroad Courses

This full-semester, three-credit course offers students a unique opportunity to travel internationally with university faculty and classmates while engaging in meaningful intercultural learning experiences.

Overview
AU Abroad (IS 398) is a full-semester course offered during the spring semester. Students register for AU Abroad with their regular course schedule, just like any other class. The program includes a short-term international academic travel component, typically lasting 9 to 12 days. This immersive experience allows students to deepen their understanding of global issues while connecting classroom learning with real-world experiences.

The attached course/travel fee generally covers round-trip flights, accommodations, and guided tours. Be sure to review the full program details for specific inclusions and exclusions.
AU Abroad Scholarship
There is a scholarship of up to $1,000.00 to help offset the course/travel fee for eligible students! All juniors and seniors are eligible to apply for the AU Abroad scholarship. It is awarded based upon grade point average and financial need. Please be advised that sophomore nursing and education majors can also apply for the AU Abroad scholarship since in their junior and senior year their academic schedules are mainly filled with major classes.
