Students in the Anderson University School of Interior Design put what they’ve learned academically into professional practice at several of the finest architecture and design firms across the nation.
According to Anderson University School of Interior Design Dean Anne Martin, students could secure an Internship in a geographical area they would like to practice interior design upon graduation. Over the summer of 2026, Anderson students completed internships in Illinois; Denver, Colorado; Annapolis, Maryland; West Palm Beach, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; Augusta, Georgia; and at South Carolina firms in Murrells Inlet, Sumter, Columbia, Anderson and Greenville.
In these internships, students experienced opportunities to design diverse typologies including: resort/hospitality, faith-based design, healthcare, K-12 and higher education, high-end residential, large-scale entertainment, and athletic facilities, as well as establish connections with industry professionals, attend professional chapter meetings of ASID, IIDA and AIA.
All School of Interior Design students must complete internships as part of their curriculum requirements, and a statistically high number of Summer 2026 students have received offers of full-time employment with their internship sponsor firms prior to graduation for May 2027.
