The Anderson University Office of Development announced a new relationship with Countybank of Anderson that will benefit outstanding students.
Countybank Senior Vice President Mike Morris, who is an Anderson Alumnus, approached the University about beginning this new relationship with his Alma Mater. Countybank, headquartered in Greenwood, has a history of partnering with local institutions of higher education in communities where they have branches and where many of their associates received their college education.
For the 2026-2027 academic year at Anderson University, Countybank will provide the Countybank College of Business Outstanding Student Award that will be awarded to one risingsophomore, junior or senior Anderson County resident studying any major in the College of Business and Economics with a minimum GPA of 3.0. After the current academic year, the award will become an annual scholarship with the same criteria.
Johnna Shirley of the Office of Development thanked Countybank of Anderson for their generosity, saying, “Anderson University is always honored when our alumni recognize the value of their AU education and want to give back to the University to help other students experience the same.”
