Fast Facts

My classes are relatively flexible and are designed similar to seated classes. While assignments are due on a regular schedule, the flexibility lies within the due dates of one assignment to another. I also give all of my students my cell phone number where they can text me as needed during the semester.

I love teaching music and making a positive impact on the next generations of music professionals.

As important as the information that is presented may be, more important is the self-disciplines of communication, being on time, submitting assignments on time, doing things thoroughly and correct the first time, etc. These things are as (or even more) important than the material and will help you navigate the professional world. I believe that it is just as important to teach these aspects of professionalism and hold students accountable now, as opposed to them learning them the hard way in the professional life. Some students bring these traits to the table on day one, but not everyone grew up with the same family dynamics and influential teachers.

The students. I love to hear from them. The only downside to online teaching is that making the connection with students is more difficult!
