Christian Life

Missions

We desire to see our campus community fulfill the commission we receive in Acts 1:8 – to be witnesses in Judea (i.e., our communities), Samaria (i.e., our region), and to the ends of the earth. Guided by this verse, AU 1:8 exists to educate, equip, and empower the AU community to join in on God’s redemptive purpose, both locally and globally.

Community Missions

Community Missions is the local component of AU 1:8. We exist to provide students with tangible opportunities to love their neighbors, practice local and Kingdom citizenship, and grow in Christ-likeness. These service-learning opportunities are available to all students, faculty, and staff at Anderson University.

AU has relationships with over 25+ non-profits and ministries that are committed to serving those in the Anderson community. Partner organizations include but are not limited to:

Four Dots Anderson Pregnancy Center
Four Dots The Lot Project
Four Dots Hope Missions
Four Dots Calvary Home for Children
Four Dots Special Olympics/Rainbow Gang
Four Dots Champion Center for Special Children
Four Dots Linley Park Nursing Home
Four Dots Habitat for Humanity

Every month, AU faculty, staff, and students set aside time to serve together. These ‘Group Serve Days’ are a great way to learn about local volunteer opportunities and connect with others. In addition to these one-time opportunities, our AU 1:8 Student Ambassadors are regularly serving with several of our partners and would love to get you connected further.

AU BCM Go Teams

AU BCM GO Teams are available to travel to churches in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. Each ministry opportunity is unique. Some churches have our students lead Disciple Now events for youth groups, but they also engage in multigenerational church wide services. Some are day trips while others involve an entire weekend. Mayson Easterling, Vice President for Church Engagement, oversees this ministry of Anderson University. To have a team at your church contact Mayson at measterling@andersonuniversity.edu.
