Frequently Asked Questions about CEPs

All traditional full-time students (including residents and commuters) are required to participate in a minimum of twenty-four (24) CEPs. Students should refer to their specific degree requirements, as students enrolling after August 2019 have to complete a specific CEP plan. See (insert link to the webpage that overviews the new CEP plan).

Students who reach the age of twenty-five (25) during a semester are exempt from attending CEPs during their remaining semesters. Students are responsible for CEPs for semesters prior to turning 25.

Successful completion of the program is required for graduation. Students will not be allowed to graduate until they satisfy the degree requirements.

Students that miss required first year CEPs can make those up online through Canvas. Students will work with the Office of Student Development (tlandrith@andersonuniversity.edu) to complete this make-up.

AU PRO events are offered multiple times per semester so students should plan to attend one of the many sessions. Students that fail to attend one of the required AU PRO Signature Series events should contact the Assistant Director of AUPRO (bturner@andersonuniversity.edu).

Sophomore students will receive information about the Ron Blue Financial Literacy CEPs through Canvas. Students that need to receive additional information about Ron Blue should contact the Ron Blue Director (gsmith@andersonuniversity.edu).

Students that arrived prior to August 2019 do not have to participate in AU PRO Signature Series events. However, we strongly encourage all students to participate in AU PRO Signature Series events and these will count towards their CEP credits.

Student Selected CEPs are not offered online.

Credit is offered at the end of CEPs. In order to receive credit you will need to attend the CEP for the duration of the event.

The number of CEPs will vary from year to year, but last year 186 Student Selected CEPs were offered. Students can find the weekly CEPs on the 411 or andersonuniversity.edu/campus-life/curriculum-enhancement-program.

Students must complete 24 CEPs prior to graduation (and must follow their CEP model). Students arriving in August 2019 or later should follow their CEP completion model. Nursing and education students are not exempt from completing any of the CEP requirements and they should plan to complete their Student Selected CEPs early as required by their academic college.

Nursing and education students are not exempt from completing any of the CEP requirements and they should plan to complete their Student Selected CEPs early as required by their academic college.

You can receive credit for the play, as you will need to have your ID scanned.

Students are welcome to attend the same play more than once, but they will only receive 1 CEP credit per 1 play.

CEP credits are tracked online in the student’s Self-Service account. Student can login after a CEP to ensure that they received credit. If a student is missing credit then he or she should contact tlandrith@andersonuniversity.edu.

Students arriving in August 2019 or after should plan to complete their required CEPs as they are listed on the CEP Completion Plan, however, students can complete their Student Selected CEPs during their first year.

Transfer students are students that were previously enrolled full time at an another university and were seeking a degree. Transfer students will participate in the First Year CEPs in the fall semester or participate in online First Year CEPs if the student arrives during the Spring semester. Transfer students will also complete 4 online Ron Blue Financial Literacy CEPs and 6 AU PRO CEPs. Transfer students are responsible for completing 2 Student Selected CEPs per semester of full-time enrollment at AU.

Dual enrollment and AP credits do not qualify a student for transfer status. Students entering with dual enrollment and/or AP credits should complete all 24 credits according to the CEP Completion Plan.
