Thanks for you interest in the Graduate Programs at Anderson University. Graduate students are eligible to some federal loans and work-study funds. For consideration of these funds, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by May 1st for each year you are enrolled in classes. Graduate students are ineligible for institutional scholarships, however, the information below shows the various types of funds available to Graduate students.

Federal Funds
Stafford Loans: There are two types of Federal Stafford Loans – subsidized and unsubsidized. However, beginning July 1, 2012 graduate level students will no longer be eligible for subsidized loans per new federal regulations. For those who have already received subsidized loans in the past as a graduate student, the government pays the interest on subsidized loans because they are need based. Unsubsidized loans begin to accrue interest from the point of disbursement. We encourage our students to pay the interest while they are in school if possible. There are no penalties for payments on your loan. Repayment begins six months after the student ceases to be enrolled at least half time. All students who file the FAFSA, enroll at least half time (as defined by your degree program), and are not currently in default on another student loan qualify, regardless of their credit. Maximum amounts are determined by your course load and may not exceed $20,500 per academic year as a graduate student. Federal Work Study: Students ‘ federal work-study eligibility is determined by the results of their FAFSA. Students can earn varying amounts of money, typically starting around $2,000 per year. You must be meeting satisfactory academic progress as defined by your degree program and outlined in the AU Academic catalog to be eligible. Tuition cost is determined by the number of credit hours you take. The 2014-15 cost per credit hour varies for the different Graduate Programs, and you can learn more by visiting those pages of our website.
