The Center for Career Development is thrilled to host the Career Closet Pop-Up Shop in Spring 2025! This initiative aims to support students as they prepare for their future careers by offering free, professional clothing to help them build a professional wardrobe.
We greatly appreciate your support and partnership in this exciting effort. Please find more information below.
Location and Timeframe
Donations can be dropped off at the Center for Career Development, located on the bottom floor of the Student Center. We are open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Parking is available on Calhoun Street and behind the Student Center on Kingsley Road.
To ensure proper sorting of our inventory, we are accepting donations during the following timeframe for the fall semester:
- Fall 2024: August 29 – November 6, 2024
Due to limited storage, please complete the donation inquiry form below to let us know what items you plan to contribute. If we have an abundance of certain items or sizes you plan to donate, we will contact you before your visit. A staff member will follow up after your submission.
Donation Requirements and Requested Items
We accept new and gently used business or professional attire suitable for any season, including medical scrubs. Workplace-appropriate accessories such as belts, jewelry, watches, purses, ties, and shoes are also welcome. Please ensure all items are washed or dry-cleaned before donating. We cannot accept items with significant stains or rips, or used undergarments.
For your convenience, a document outlining the most needed items and sizes, as surveyed by AU students, is attached. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Gift-in-Kind Donations
If you would like to request a gift-in-kind receipt for your donation, we can provide details at the time of drop-off. Please note that an itemized list and estimated total cost of the donation are required to process this request.
