The South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University invites applications for a part-time faculty of art in Studio Art. The position is available for August 2025. Anderson University is a comprehensive, liberal arts institution affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention. Candidates with a strong Christian value system, lifestyle, and commitment to the integration of faith and learning are encouraged to apply. Pay rates are commensurate with credentials and experience.
Qualifications: Professional credentials / MFA in Studio Art, with areas in drawing, painting, foundations, and/or interdisciplinary practices welcome. Candidates should demonstrate a strong record to teach visual art fundamentals. A successful record of teaching at the collegiate level is preferred. An MFA is preferred, MA will be considered.

The South Carolina School of the Arts offers Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music degrees with majors and concentrations in graphic design, painting and drawing, ceramics/sculpture, art education, photography, musical theatre, theatrical design, acting and directing, dance, commercial music, worship leadership, music education, and performance. Each of the three departments within the South Carolina School of the Arts are fully accredited by their respective national accrediting agencies (NASM, NASAD, and NAST).
The Department of Art + Design is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design. It includes eleven full-time faculty, with the following areas of study:
Bachelor of Arts; with concentrations in Painting + Drawing, Photography, 3D Studies (ceramics/sculpture), and Art Education
Bachelor of Fine Arts; Graphic Design
Art Minors; General Studio, Painting + Drawing, Photography, 3D Studies (ceramics/sculpture), and Art History.
Availability to teach courses on site is required.
