Executive Assistant to the Senior Vice President for Development and Presidential Affairs

Anderson University’s Development Office invites applications for a full-time position as Executive Assistant to the Senior Vice President for Development and Presidential Affairs. The Executive Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Senior Vice President for Development and Presidential Affairs and the Development Chief of Staff and Associate Vice President for Planned Giving and Major Gifts and will perform duties associated with general office management for the Office of Development. The Executive Assistant will help coordinate the Annual and Endowed Scholarship and Stewardship Program, collaboratively working with the Offices of Admissions and Financial Aid and Scholarships to achieve program goals and objectives, and provide departmental-wide support in planning and operational budgets, divisional event management, grant research and proposal writing, and will maintain detailed records of all donor prospects, proposals, donor gifts, and all expenses and sponsorships related to the annual President’s Gala. Additionally, this position will notify and coordinate with the Executive Assistant to the President on all departmental functions and provide appropriate correspondence for all development events, as needed.

Knowledge equivalent to that gained through a bachelor’s degree and previous experience in a college or university setting is preferred. Previous experience in a business, educational or non-profit environment is required. Proficiency in all MS Office programs, database management software, like Workday, is desired. Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on customer service, and the ability to effectively muti-task and prioritize while maintaining a keen attention to detail is required. The ability to maintain confidential information and uphold and promote the Christian mission of the university is essential.
