Anderson University’s Online and Hybrid Undergraduate Admission and Advising Office invites applications for a full-time, 12-month Enrollment Counselor. The Enrollment Counselor serves as the primary enrollment services contact for Online & Hybrid Undergraduate applicants providing seamless, personalized support from application submission to the start of classes. Reporting to the Director of Online & Hybrid Undergraduate Admission & Advising, this position will monitor new applications daily, contact new applicants by phone within 24 hours of applying, and will regularly communicate and assist students with the admission process, educating applicants on FAFSA, employer reimbursement, or other appropriate forms of financial assistance, and provide admitted students with clear next steps of the University’s enrollment, registration, and student information system log-in process. The Enrollment Counselor also provides support to new students through the transfer credit process ensuring a smooth transition from Enrollment Counselor to Academic Success Advisor. Additionally, the Enrollment Counselor conducts online enrollment presentations, attends recruitment events, and assists Enrollment Leadership in assessing, researching, and implementing opportunities that streamline enrollment procedures and enhance the applicant experience, supporting the university in achieving its recruiting and enrollment goals.
Knowledge equivalent to that gained through a bachelor’s degree and previous recruiting or sales experience is required. Prior experience in a university or college setting or the ability to relate the college experience and benefits of a post-secondary education to prospective students is desired. Ability to work on multiple software systems, such as Slate, NursingCAS (NCAS), Workday (SIS), or Webadmit is preferred. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a commitment to the holistic development of students and have a disposition to connect, motivate, and inspire. Exemplary customer service, communication, and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work in a professional and confidential manner with all faculty/staff, students, parents, and the community is essential.
