Assistant Professor, History

Anderson University (South Carolina) and the College of Arts and Sciences invite applications for a full-time, nine-month position in History in the Department of History and Political Science beginning in August 2025. An earned doctorate in History from a regionally accredited institution is preferred; an ABD may be considered. Faculty rank and status (tenure track or professional path) will be determined at the time of appointment based upon the degree, experience, and record of scholarship. Screening will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

The ideal candidate will be able to teach a wide range of courses in world and/or global history as well as historical methods, including foundational courses in world history, advanced thematic and/or regional history courses, and historiography. History faculty maintain a teaching load of 24 credit hours per academic year, supervise undergraduate research projects, and advise.
