Returning Students

Our returning students are the core of our campus community. We love having our returning students live on campus and perpetuate the amazing student culture that Anderson University is known for!

Housing Portal

Make sure you are using the Housing Portal to see changes to your housing assignment, updated roommate/suitemate information, updating your meal plan, etc.

Returning Student Residency Requirement

All students are required to live on campus for six semesters (typically through junior year). It is the intention of the University to accommodate all juniors in double occupancy (if possible) campus housing space. If the number of available spaces for double occupancy housing for juniors is inadequate for all juniors to live in campus housing, the University will notify juniors in the fall semester of their eligibility to live off-campus. Seniors may also be required to live on campus at any time and will be notified in a similar fashion.

Students who meet one of the following criteria may elect to live off campus prior to fulfilling the six-semester requirement.

  • Married
  • Live locally with a parent, grandparent, or legal guardian
  • 22 years of age prior to the beginning of the academic year. Students who turn 22 during the academic year (fall or spring semester) will not be eligible to live off campus until the following academic year.
  • Transfer student who has attended six (6) semesters of college, excluding dual enrollment during high school.

To read more about residence life policies at Anderson University, see the Student Handbook.

Students will be able to attend housing meetings for detailed information about the reselection process. Additionally, video tutorials will be available on the Housing Portal and Residence Life will provide detailed updates via student email.
