HVAC Technician

Anderson University’s Physical Plant invites applications for a 12-month, full-time, HVAC Technician. Under the general supervision of the Physical Plant Supervisor, the HVAC Technician will perform a variety of advanced troubleshooting, repair, installation, and modifications in the HVAC field to ensure that the conditioned spaces of the university function properly and operate safely in all working and living environments. As a key member of the Physical Plant and HVAC teams, the HVAC Technician will respond to maintenance requests and coordinate repairs on a variety of HVAC equipment, including, but not limited to, chillers, split systems, VAV’s, VRV’s, package units, boilers, and domestic water heaters. This position will perform additional semi-skilled building and facilities maintenance, as assigned, and effectively communicate with campus faculty and staff, as needed. The ability to operate hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner is essential to this position. HVAC Technician is an experienced-level class requiring 5+ yrs exp. in the HVAC service field.

A high school diploma or GED is required in addition to proficient knowledge and/or experience with HVAC and electrical trades. A technical degree in HVAC or related field is preferred.
