Simulation Technician

Anderson University’s College of Health Professions (CHP) invites applications for a 12-month, full-time position as Simulation Technician. The Simulation Technician is responsible for maintaining the daily operations of the university’s Simulation Laboratory and Human Anatomy Lab. Specifically, the Simulation Technician will assist with maintenance, set-up, and de-construction of simulation scenarios and laboratory activities for the College of Health Professions programs, the Human Anatomy Lab, and external business partnerships. In support of the Coordinator of the Medical Simulation and Human Anatomy Laboratory, the position will assist in educating new faculty, staff, and students on software utilized in the simulation laboratory and clinical environments (e.g. LearningSpace, simulation software) and assist in scheduling for simulation and laboratory experiences. Routine cleaning, maintenance, and inspections of laboratory equipment, occasional travel, or extended hours may be occasionally required to ensure efficient laboratory functionality.

A bachelor’s degree, CHSOS certification, or ability to obtain one is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, G-suite, and a working knowledge of computer hardware, software, databases, and network required. The Simulation Technician will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills, and be self-directed, work independently and be flexible.  Medical experience is preferred but not required.
