College of Health Professionals

BSN in Nursing - Traditional

Overview

The Traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing trains students to become nurses who can work in pediatric, surgical, adult, geriatric, and other fields of nursing. It prepares undergraduates to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) and become a registered nurse (RN). RNs serve in hospitals, hospices, homes, nursing homes, workplaces, schools, medical missions, the military, and other medical settings.

The Institute of Medicine recommends increasing the proportion of nurses with bachelor’s degrees from 50% to 80% by 2020. This bachelor’s program will launch your nursing career, open the door to leadership and management positions, and qualify you for graduate-level training in nursing and healthcare

Already have college credit or a bachelor’s degree in a field other than nursing?
