Students in the new Cybersecurity program are already being noticed.
A team of six students from the Anderson University Center for Cybersecurityplaced No. 141 out of 922 teams across the nation taking part in the NCL (National Cyber League) Spring Competition.
If you do the math, that means the AU team placed in the top 15 percent of teams nationally.
“This is truly amazing for a first year program. It’s a testimony to our highly motivated students, our super cyber coach Brandon Grech, a solid curriculum and the Cyber Lab,” said Center for Cybersecurity Director Dr. Kenneth Knapp.
The team was composed of Nathan Rackley, Annie Nastasi, Hyeokjin (David) Oh, Zachary Seiter, Franklin George and Andy Kim. According to Dr. Knapp, the team (named root@au) worked for 72 hours over the weekend competing in areas that span across the entire cybersecurity domain.
