Anderson University, in addition to being named a “Top Tier” Regional University in the South, by U.S. News & World Report, has also been named a “Best Value School” by the same publication.

This marks the first time that U.S. News has ranked universities through a metric that combines quality and affordability. AU was named the #27 Best Value School among regional universities in the South.

According to the magazine, the calculation used takes into account a school’s academic quality, as indicated by its 2017 U.S. News Best Colleges ranking, and the 2015-2016 net cost of attendance for a student who received the average level of need-based financial aid. The higher the quality of the program and the lower cost, the better the deal. Only schools ranked near the top half of their categories are included because U.S. News considers the most significant values to be among colleges that are above average academically.
