Coordinator of Student Involvement and New Student Programs

Anderson University invites applications for a 12-month, full-time position as Student Involvement and New Student Programs Coordinator. Anderson University is an innovative, entrepreneurial, premier comprehensive, Liberal Arts University affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention. The Student Involvement and New Student Programs Coordinator serves as a team member in the Office of Student Involvement and New Student Programs with the central purpose of providing intentional engagement opportunities for new AU students to enhance their growth outside the classroom and their connection to the campus. This position will report directly to the Director of Student Involvement and New Student Programs and is expected to collaborate and assist the Student Involvement Team in a variety of student activities and college-wide initiatives throughout the year. Additional responsibilities include serving on the CARE team, AU 101 Implementation Committee and teaching limited sections of AU 101 per academic year. Managerial tasks may be assigned to maintain daily office operations. This student-centered position will require regular evening and weekend hours.

Knowledge equivalent to that gained through completion of a bachelor’s degree in Student Development, Higher Education, or closely related field is preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and/or other database software is also required. Must be able to work with a diverse student population and demonstrate a commitment to the holistic development of students. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information is essential. Those who possess strong organizational, intrapersonal, and leadership skills are encouraged to apply.
