Director of the Center for Leadership and Organizations

Anderson University invites applications for a full-time, twelve-month position to serve as Director of the Center for Leadership and Organizations, with faculty rank commensurate with qualifications and experience. This role is a full-time on-campus position, based on the university’s main campus in Anderson, South Carolina with a projected start date of June 1, 2025.

Anderson University is an innovative, entrepreneurial, premier comprehensive, liberal arts university affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention. The university seeks candidates with a strong Christian value system, lifestyle, and commitment to the integration of faith and learning.

Currently, the Center for Leadership and Organizations includes a Director and three full-time faculty, with more than one hundred and twenty-five students. The Center is home to two degrees: a PhD in Leadership, with tracks in Business or Ministry, and an MS in Leadership and Organizations. The next director will be instrumental in developing additional tracks in the PhD and other degrees and credentials in leadership. This position requires an earned terminal degree in one of the following fields: Leadership, Organizational Science, Higher Education Administration, Human Development, or related field. Applicants must be committed to the highest standards of scholarly research. Additionally, applicants should have relevant experience in the following areas: professional leadership experience, leadership research, graduate course design and development, program assessment experience, and doctoral dissertation committee experience. The preferred candidate will be expected to contribute to recruiting students and demonstrate potential for teaching excellence in online settings. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to support graduate student scholarships and secure external funding.
