Administrative Assistant, Office of the Provost – Part Time

Anderson University’s Office of the Provost invites applications for a part-time Administrative Assistant. Anderson University is an innovative, entrepreneurial, premier comprehensive, liberal arts university affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention. The University seeks a candidate with a strong Christian value system, lifestyle, and commitment to the integration of faith and learning.

The primary responsibilities for this position include assisting members of the various tasks and the hiring process for part-time faculty, including communicating with candidates and academic offices across campus, preparing materials and scheduling interviews, maintaining files, assisting with onboarding, preparing contracts and payroll for part-time faculty, data entry, and report preparation. Additional key responsibilities include providing support for academic events, including Commencement, Convocation, and Founders’ Day Convocation.

The successful candidate will have an associate’s degree and 2-3 years’ related experience. The position also requires strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills; excellent MS Office skills; high attention to detail; and the ability to prioritize and maintain confidentiality of information. Experience with Workday is preferred, but not required.
