Anderson University (South Carolina) and the College of Arts and Sciences invite applications for a full-time, nine-month faculty member in the area of Biology. This is a full-time, nine-month position with a start date of August 2024. An earned doctorate in biology or a related discipline from an accredited institution is required; ABDs will be considered. Experience teaching at the undergraduate level is preferred. Screening will begin immediately and continue until the job is filled. Faculty rank and status will be determined at the time of appointment based upon the degrees, experience, and record of scholarship.
The faculty member will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in anatomy and physiology and biology. The ability to teach upper-level biology courses is also desirable and will be dependent upon the candidate’s specific area of expertise. Biology faculty maintain a teaching load of 24 credit hours per academic year, supervise undergraduate research projects, and advise.
