Mission
The Graduate International Student Organization supports the networking needs of the graduate international student community at Anderson University, The mission of the Graduate International Student Organization is to help create a welcoming and supportive environment for graduate international students to connect, learn from each other’s unique culture, and develop strong professional relationships which promote a fruitful educational experience as well as helps students prepare for working in a successful career.
What We Do
This organization sponsors professional workshops and presentations to assist international students and their peers. Workshops include information on CPT (curricular practical training), OPT (optional practical training), US Culture, US Higher Educational System, and professional presenters work are working professionals. Every graduate international student is automatically a member. Board members serve for a year. You must be an international student or domestic student at Anderson University for a t least one full semester and in the organization to apply for a position within the board.

GISO board members work closely with faculty and the Center for Global Engagement to help with professional updates for the international student community, as well as to support the unique professional networking needs of the international graduate students at Anderson University. The Director of the Center of Global Engagement serves as the advisor. All graduate students are eligible to join. However, all international students are automatically members and will receive monthly emails about the organization and any events they will be sponsoring
