Dr Michael Hylen is an Associate Professor of Graduate Education and serves as faculty in the doctoral studies program. Dr Hylen joined the higher education ranks after serving 28 years in K-12 education as a teacher and secondary principal. His most extensive work was with at-risk students attending the alternative schools he served. Dr Hylen is a speaker and author as well. He has published a book on Emotion Coaching and two book chapters on virtuous leadership, as well as a number of research articles.
