College of Christian Studies

Bachelor of Arts (BA), Christian Studies: Women’s Ministry

Program Overview

The Christian Studies: Women’s Ministry concentration equips you to run a successful ministry within a church or a para-church organization. This program addresses your theological foundation for women’s ministry, the administrative challenges you’ll face as a ministry leader, and how to build an effective ministry. You’ll learn how to create and implement effective budgets, manage the performance and well-being of your staff, work with local and national organizations to further your ministry, and craft a powerful organizational vision. Your focused coursework is taught by supportive faculty, and includes an internship to give you necessary experience.

When you graduate from Anderson University, your Women’s Ministry concentration will prepare you to minister to women in the local church and other ministry settings. You could work as a women’s ministry director, women’s aftercare manager, community outreach coordinator, or missionary. If you choose to attend graduate school before launching into ministry, you’ll be prepared for a Master of Divinity, Master of Ministry, or a master’s in counseling or human resources.
