Three incoming Class of 2019 students were featured on the Web site of US News and World Report this month.

AU students made up nearly a third of the ten students featured in a story on usnews.com on April 17. The three featured students were Caitlin Keef, who posted a photo on Twitter, Katelyn Payne of South Carolina, who also posted a photo on Twitter and plans to major in music, and Grayson Shubert who posted a photo and her thoughts on Instagram: “After many decisions and much prayer, I get to call Anderson University my home for the next 4 years. God is so sovereign!”

AU’s great showing on a national roundup of rising freshmen sharing their acceptance letters reflects students’ excitement on AU’s social media sites, admission officials say.

“Our students are active because they feel that they are valued and seen within this group and institution,” said Jason Rutland, AU’s Director of Undergraduate Admission.

Rutland also attributes AU’s great showing on a national site to the rigorous efforts of AU student workers Ryan Scott and Benjamin Slagle, who serve as “Social Media Analysts” for AU’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
