Dr. Don Peace, Dean of the Anderson University College of Health Professions, was recently re-certified as a Fellow in the America College of Healthcare Executives. The American College of Healthcare Executives is an international professional society of 40,000 healthcare executives who lead hospitals, healthcare systems and other healthcare organizations.

ACHE’s mission is to advance its members and healthcare management excellence. ACHE offers its prestigious FACHE credential, signifying board certification in healthcare management. ACHE’s established network of 78 chapters provides access to networking, education and career development at the local level.

In addition, ACHE is known for its career development and public policy programs. Through such efforts, ACHE works toward its vision of being the preeminent professional society for leaders dedicated to improving health.

Dr. Peace became a Fellow in 2011 after completion of a rigorous examination that covered areas including business, finance, governance and organizational structure, healthcare, healthcare technology and information management, human resources, laws and regulation, professionalism and ethics, and quality and process improvement.

Recertification must be conducted every three years to maintain the FACHE credential.

Dr. Peace will complete his two-year term as President of the South Carolina Chapter of the ACHE in March 2018.  The South Carolina Chapter has approximately 700 healthcare executive members. He has served on this Board of Directors since 2012.
