Celebrating Dr. King’s Legacy

Anderson University celebrated the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a week of events and service.

Highlights of the week included chapels with artist, educator and activist Herman Keith Jr.; Michael Pigg, director of African American Engagement for the South Carolina Baptist Convention; and Dr. Pam Larde, professor of leadership in the Anderson University Center for Leadership and Organizations. During the week there was a Q&A session with Keith, an MLK Trivia Night and the screening of a Juneteenth documentary. Also, students volunteered for service projects at ministries and nonprofit organizations throughout the community.

MLK Celebration Week was organized by the Anderson University Office of Diversity, Community and Inclusion
