Leah Marone, a certified Psychotherapist shared some helpful tips to overcome the stresses caused by Coronavirus. For the HR professional, her first piece of advice is to take care of yourself first. You can’t take care of anyone else if you don’t take care of yourself first. Ensure you are taking time each day to practice presence, which can be as simple as taking time eat your food and think about how it tastes. Ensure you step away from your desk every now and again to recharge! Eating well and moving your body each day can help you manage the changing times!
For those who have shifted to working remotely, get ready each day as your normally would. Ensure your workspace is not in your bedroom and be prepared to disconnect at the end of each day.
For your employees, check in on them. All of them!! Leah recommends assigning buddies who are there for each other during this crisis, when our normal is anything but. Also be aware of employees who may be struggling and disengage.
