Student Life Office Manager

Anderson University’s Office of Student Development invites applications for a 12-month, full-time, Office Manager. Anderson University is an innovative and entrepreneurial comprehensive, liberal arts university affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention. Reporting to the Associate Director of Residence Life, the Office Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the Student Life office suite, creating a hospitable environment for guests and provides comprehensive administrative support to the Residence Life, Student Activities, Commuter Engagement, Campus Recreation and Fitness, and Student Involvement Offices. Specifically, the Office Manager answers and directs phone calls and emails to appropriate personnel, assists with student and parent inquiries regarding housing and billing, schedules appointments for the Dean of Students and Dean of Student Support, and coordinates schedules to maintain office coverage during business hours. To successfully fulfill job responsibilities, confidentiality of sensitive job-related information including student records, disciplinary and other investigation process records, and other Student Life Office related records must be maintained. Additional duties include recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training new and existing student employees in the Student Life Suite.

The successful candidate will possess an Associate’s degree, one-two years related office experience and excellent customer service and communication skills. Knowledge equivalent to that gained through completion of a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. In addition, a good working knowledge of MS Office programs is required; prior experience with StarRez, Workday, Campus Labs, Pharos 360, or other database software helpful.
