Anderson University’s Office of Graduate Enrollment Services invites applications for a full-time, 12-month position as Enrollment Counselor. The Enrollment Counselor serves as a central communication resource for graduate applicants for admission, providing personalized support from application to the start of the first semester. Reporting to the Executive Director of Graduate Enrollment, this position will monitor incomplete and newly received applications daily, contacting all new applicants by phone within 24 hours of applying, and will regularly communicate and assist students with the admission process, informing applicants of FAFSA, employer reimbursement, or other appropriate forms of financial assistance, and provide admitted students with clear next steps of the university’s enrollment, registration, and student information system log-in process. The Enrollment Counselor will serve as a key contributor for meeting the university’s enrollment goals, making admission decision recommendations for specific degree programs, guiding students through the transfer credit process, and ensure a smooth transition from Enrollment Counselor to Academic Success Advisor. This position will create and maintain collaborative working relationships with College Deans, Graduate Program Directors, and other university leadership, providing them with regular feedback, documentation, and performing additional duties as assigned.
A bachelor’s degree is required. Previous administrative or professional capacities, including direct responsibility for student records, enrollment and registration activities is preferred. Ability to work on multiple software systems, such as Slate, Workday, and Canvas is preferred. Exemplary customer service, communication, and organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail are needed. Must be able to connect, motivate, inspire, and work with a diverse student population and demonstrate a commitment to the holistic development of students. The ability to work in a professional and confidential manner with all staff, students, parents, and the community is essential.
