Assistant Venue Technical Director

Anderson University’s Department of Guest and Auxiliary Services invites applications for a full-time position as Assistant Venue Technical Director. The Assistant Venue Technical Director will work alongside the Venue Technical Director to manage technical services within performance venues on campus and coordinate event services for both internal and external clients as well as hiring, training, and supervising student staff for technical support. Serving as a liaison for Guest and Auxiliary Services, this position will staff, supervise, and set-up University and public rental spaces, maintaining the venue equipment in working order and provide appropriate audio and lighting support for all venue events, including evening and weekend events. Additional duties may be assigned to ensure the achievement of the department’s goals and objectives.

Knowledge equivalent to that gained through a bachelor’s degree and relevant experience required. An operational understanding of set construction, lighting, and audio is required. Basic knowledge of fire codes that pertain to campus venues and stage management experience is required. Working knowledge of ProPresenter, Zoom, PowerPoint, and audio consoles in the Midas/Behringer family is preferred.
